Our mission statement: “Weathervane Community Playhouse and its dedicated volunteers offer vital performing arts resources for the people of Northeastern Ohio. We create exciting and thought-provoking shows with impressive production values. Through educational programs and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds, Weathervane serves the theater community, our patrons and our volunteers.”
In service to this mission Weathervane has, since its founding in 1935, produced 72 continuous seasons of quality theatre, compiling a production record of more than 500 plays.
Weathervane's year-round schedule brings to the audiences of the region 12 productions annually of a diverse selection of works including contemporary dramas and comedies, musicals and musical reviews, family theater and selections from the classic repertoire.
Weathervane is truly a “community” theater. We are particularly proud of the extraordinary commitment and dedication of more than 400 volunteers from the community who logged over 25,000 hours in the 2006-2007 season.
