Gateway Place is a unique all Ohio wine store which carries the most extensive selection of Ohio wines in the State. It is located near Wilmot, Ohio on Rt. 62, on a picturesque hill, in the largest Amish community in the world, across from the Amish Door Restaurant. Presently, the Gateway Place, a beautiful 1890's Victorian house, sells wines from 50 Ohio wineries, many famous for their International award winners. Monday through Saturday, wine sampling is featured, where customers can tune into their favorite wines.The store carries local cheeses, trail bologna, as well as other food products. In addition to the large selection of wines, Gateway Place has a wide assortment of Amish-made wooden toys, art, and local gifts, as well as an antique barn filled with antiques. Come and enjoy some samples of Ohio's best wines, sit outside overlooking 3 acres on our picnic tables or gazebo, and enjoy the beautiful view of Rt. 62. Coming up the hill from Wilmot, you can't miss the bright red and purple barn art depicting the State of Ohio.
